A village for the Black womannobody checks on.

WHAT IS THE COTARY

A Village.

A circle of Black mothers who understand the weight without needing it explained. Who show up for each other in the check-ins, the hard Tuesdays, and the moments nobody else sees. The community lives here. Every day.

1

Comfort

She is known here. She does not have to explain her exhaustion or translate her experience. She walks in and the room already understands

2

Connection

She is in community with women whose Tuesday looks like hers.

3

Community

Something bigger than her individual relationships. A sense of belonging to something that has standards, intention, and identity.

"The place where you are understood is the place where you can grow."
— Deepak Chopra

You Learned
How To
Carry It All

Quietly.
Beautifully.
Without dropping a thing.
And no one asked what it cost you.

But we were never meant to do this alone. Not the raising.
Not the holding.
Not the constant being the one.
This is where that ends.

This is where you are held, too.

The Exhale — The Cotary
When Was The Last Time
You Had A Moment
To Yourself.
What You're Walking Into
A beautiful room.
Nothing is required of you.
You walk in. You drop your phone at the door. You find your spot — already set up, already waiting for you. There is soft music. There is something warm to drink. There are books if you want them.

For 90 minutes you do absolutely nothing. You sit. You rest. You stare out the window if that's what your body needs. Nobody is going to ask you for anything. Nobody needs you to perform or produce or hold it together.

You just exist. That's the whole thing.
Who's In The Room
20 Black mothers.
That's it.
This is not a networking event. Nobody is going to make you introduce yourself or share your story. You don't have to talk to anyone.

But you will be in a room full of women who understand exactly what it took to walk through the door. Women whose Tuesday looks like yours. That part happens whether you say a word or not.
The Kids Experience
They are not sitting in a corner.
They have their own thing.
Your kids are downstairs with trained, vetted staff the entire time. They are busy. They are engaged. They are not thinking about you.

Every child builds their own Bored Box — an activity kit built around one idea: what do I do when mom needs a moment. They build it themselves. They share what they made with the other kids. They go home with it. They use it all summer.

Some of them will leave with a new friend. That happens when you put kids in a room with intention instead of just a screen.
0 – 5For 90 minutes someone pours into them. Their name is spoken with intention. They are held, celebrated, and seen — the same thing you came here for.
6 – 9They leave knowing they can handle themselves. They built something with their own hands that tells them — when mom needs a moment, I've got me.
10 +They leave having noticed something about themselves they hadn't named before. Not because someone told them. Because they were given space and the right question to find it on their own.
Is It Worth It
One ticket.
Every person in your family.
$275 flat. Covers you and every child you bring. No per-kid charge. No add-ons.

A spa day runs $150–$300 and your kids aren't handled. A sitter alone costs $80–$150. A family outing costs $50 a head with none of the intention.

This is the only thing that takes care of all of you at the same time.
What If I'm Uncomfortable
Good. That means
you needed this.
If sitting still feels strange, that's not a sign something is wrong. That's a sign you have been going without stopping for so long that rest feels foreign.

You don't have to do it right. You just have to show up.
